Ulat ni BRO highlights 4-year accomplishments,
and improved support to farmers
City of Ilagan, Isabela – Governor Faustino G. Dy III humbly boasts the 4-year accomplishments of the Provincial Government of Isabela and the improved support to farmers in his State of the Province Address (SOPA) with plans of assisting the small farmers in the Home Development Mutual Fund of Pag-IBIG and incorporating disaster preparedness in the curriculum of the Department of Education (DepEd).
Following the success of the BRO Programs, Gov. Dy is set to tie-up with Pag-IBIG to include a housing assistance in the program as additional service for the marginalized and small farmers whose efforts vied the province as the Top Corn Producer and one of the Top Rice Producer of the country.
On the other hand, an outstanding 99.75% rate courtesy of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reaped the 2014 Gawad Kalasag and hailed as the best in the region, a testament of a competitive local governance motivated to provide public safety and order, this inspired Gov. Dy to include disaster preparedness in the curriculum of DepEd.
Morover, Gov. Dy paid tribute to the contributions of every Isabeleños in the numerous awards that the province has earned such as the 2011 and 2012 Seal of Good Housekeeping, 2012 and 2013 Most Outstanding Anti-Red Tape Act Implementer in Region 2, 2011, 2012 and 2013 National Finalist in the Search for Most Business Friendly LGUs, 2013 Gawad Kalasag Seal of Disaster Preparedness (regional level), 2012 Bakas Parangal ng Kadakilaan, 2012 National Winner Outstanding Local Cooperative Development Office, 2012 Outstanding Local Cooperative Development Office in Region 2, 2013 Region 2 Gawad Parangal Outstanding Local Cooperative Development Office, 2011 Champion Province Gawad Saka Regional Level, 2012 National Rice Achievers Award, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Natatanging Lalawigan-Agri Pinoy Rice Achievers Award, 2013 Natatanging Lalawigan National Quality Corn Achievers Award, three consecutive years Regional Top Local Revenue Earner for Highest Collection Efficiency-Province Category, 2011 Regional Top Local Revenue Earner-Province Category, 2011 Regional Top Local Collector on Economic Enterprises for Highest Collection Efficiency-Province Category, 2011 Regional Top Local Collector of Fees and Charges, and 204 Regional Awardee CDA Gawad Parangal Most Outstanding LGU.
The Ulat ni BRO underscores “the political stability and sustained peace and order in the province have created predictable business environment……..the intensified campaign to protect the province has also made Isabela one of the healthiest and safest place to live in”, these brought major industries and big business investors venture in the province in the likes of Puregold Supermarket, SM, Robinson’s Mall, Mart1, SaveMore, Robinsons Supermarket, Dreamwave Hotel Chain, Mindanao Grains, Bio Ethanol and MSR Laboratory.
Gov. Dy also stressed the “No Logging, No Coal Mining Policy” stand of the provincial government. The 48-minute SOPA ended with the aspirations of continuing the best practices of the Dy-Albano administration.
